Levine has been writing music for almost two decades.. Her original music centers around alternative tunings, rhythmic plucking patterns, coded lyrics, and bright vocal melodies. She mostly takes inspiration from ‘60s and ‘70s songwriters like Paul Simon, Nick Drake, Laura Nyro, John Sebastian, and Joni Mitchell.
